Exposition
Benoît-Marie Moriceau’s work varies greatly in terms of both form and scale, from the minimal modification of the exhibition space to the landcape-scale intervention. All of his work, however, takes into consideration the context in which they are presented or the point of view which makes it possible to apprehend them. Whatever the typology, Benoît-Marie Moriceau’s work pertains to the site, from its spatial configuration to its history and uses.
For his project at Les Champs Libres, at the invitation of 40mcube, the artist brings together and creates a dialogue between several distinct aspects of his practice and artistic career: an immersive exhibition displaying, on a reduced scale, a collection of works, and an installation visible from the panorama of the library. From this space dedicated to the transfer of knowledge, and its location within the city, Benoît-Marie Moriceau presents a two-part exhibition that involves, through sampling, multiple and fragmentary places and temporalities.
