On August the 13th 2018, the newspaper Libération devoted 5 pages to drawings and testimony from Najah Albukai. Professor of drawing at the University of Damascus, he was arrested by the Syrian regime and incarcerated during 11 months.
His cartoon report showed practices of torture worthy of the Middle Ages and worst totalitarian regimes. Guest at the EESAB-Lorient site in October 2018 Najah Albukai spoke in conference and workshop with the students of the new master arts visuals for journalism.
At the end of this first Lorient meeting, the school invited him to exhibit his drawings and a series of  etchings, published especially by the EESAB of Lorient, with the support from the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris.
