Most of the artists featured in the Itinéraires graphiques # 6 started out, or have very close links with graphzine and self-publishing. The “Undergraphism” exhibition offers a historical panorama (1975-2020) of the French scene and its ramifications with the Japanese and American underground. From Bazooka to Blanquet via Charles Burns, Le Dernier Cri, Blexbolex or Icinori, this selective chronology illustrates the dynamism and inventiveness of a production whose roots are deeply rooted in alternative and independent networks.
