Images and humanism.

This photographic exhibition of the Frac Bretagne around Georges Dussaud is presented in the Châteaugiron dungeon as part of the project A photographic crossing in Brittany. Georges Dussaud is from Castelgironnais and is also a citizen of the world, which he travels to meet the populations since the beginning of the 80s. From Portugal to Greece, from Ireland to India, or on the way of the customs officers in Brittany, his footsteps lead him to discover rural territories imbued with ancestral traditions that he is keen to document.

Humanist photographer, reporter of ordinary life, it is through the use of black and white photographs, often in panoramic format, that he bases his determination to encompass humanity in its entirety. His reports give rise to series of images on which hard work and solidarity are imprinted, common to those who, shaped by nature, draw strength and dignity from it.

Represented in the collection of FRAC Bretagne since the early 1980s by a set of several series, his work has something universal and sensitive, taking on a poetic meaning in the face of man and his condition.

In partnership with the FRAC Bretagne (works from its collection) and the Petites Cités de Caractère® de Bretagne
