Carla Adra, Se perdre sans peur

Carla Adra is a French, Canadian and Lebanese artist whose work, composed of performances, installations, videos, drawings, writing, and more) is based on everyday life, its contexts and its hazards.

Conceived as working with the living, the artist’s practice refers to the notion of intimacy, which she defines as a matter, an interface, a friction, that links beings together in a continuum of relationships.

With her desire to generate connections between people, She develops systems that create links and act as sounding boards, making audible words that have found no refuge and that are usually disqualified. Speaking of others through herself, her work questions self-effacement and disappearance behind the stories, aspirations and feelings of those whose words she listens to, endorses and passes on.

For her exhibition at 40mcube, she developes new situations that reflect her work process.
