La Gacilly (56200)
This summer 2022, the La Gacilly Photo Festival is going to meet photographers from Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan.
The 19th edition of the La Gacilly Photo Festival is organized around the themes Visions of the East and The World of Tomorrow to offer an immersive photographic experience in the heart of around twenty open-air galleries with free access.
Visions d’Orient highlights artists from these three South-West Asian countries, all of which belong to the Persian cultural space; home to a thousand-year-old civilization, a unique artistic creativity, sheltering courageous authors and a disconcerting modernism that has chosen photography as its weapon.
More than ever, the La Gacilly Photo Festival wants to give pride of place to these photographers who transmit to us through their shots so many seeds of hope. In the galleries of our Breton village, in our alleys, in our gardens, on the walls of our alleys, their works are exhibited to amaze us, to help us think, to move us, to arouse our anger as well as our empathy, to convince us that we must always take the shortest path, and the shortest is the path traced by nature.
