Exposition
“From childhood, Micheau-Vernez chose to be painter. It wasn’t a passion but really a vocation.
Graduate of the Beaux-Arts of Brest, Nantes and Paris, Micheau-Vernez pursued a teaching career in Britanny and other parts of France. He never stopped painting, and was equally happy creating illustrations, drawings, stained-glass windows, posters, icons and, of course, earthenware. The Breton festivities, that he loved, were a source of creation for him, with always this great nobility of attitude in its various representations. He remains faithful to the way he has always looked at the color of the world around him. To show others, collected on multiple media, this vibration which has definitely moved him.
Micheau-Vernez’s highly modern works are an extraordinary breath of optimism, humor and happiness around beauty. It’s his piece of the truth.”
