Exposition
Coline Jourdan et Bastien Duval
In this photographic exhibition, Coline JOURDAN journeys through the Orbiel Valley, at the foot of the Montagne Noire, following the traces of the former Salsigne mine near Carcassonne. Once exploited for its gold and notorious for its arsenic production, the site still carries in its soil the deep scars of a century of industrial activity.
Guided by geoscientists, the artist navigates a deceptively beautiful landscape—between dense forests and man-made hills—seeking out the hidden signs buried in the earth itself. With a precise yet sensitive eye, she reveals a territory both striking and wounded, where history lingers in the smallest folds of the visible.
Bastien DUVAL turns his lens toward the place he calls home, between countryside and coastline, along the Bay of Audierne. Through his images, he captures the everyday life of a fragmented Finistère, suspended between year-round residents and fleeting seasonal visitors.
His landscapes weave together farms, housing developments, and empty homes, holding a quiet tension between presence and absence. At once personal and documentary, his work seeks out the silences, pauses, and moments of stillness in a territory in transformation—far removed from the usual tourist gaze.
