PHAKT – Centre Culturel Colombier is a neighbourhood-based cultural organisation, supported by the City of Rennes and actively engaged in local life and the promotion of contemporary art.
Deeply rooted in the Colombier district, PHAKT develops a project at the intersection of artistic creation, cultural action and popular education. Each season, it presents four contemporary art exhibitions and supports artists throughout their creative and professional development.
Its exhibitions welcome more than 5,000 visitors each year, in addition to numerous school groups and participants in talks and conferences. Through mediation activities and projects developed with local residents, associations and schools, PHAKT works to make contemporary art accessible to the widest possible audience and to foster creation as a space for encounters, reflection and exchange.
